Fishing at newport

Has anyone had the chance to fish in newport? Havent had the chance to get out. Would like to head out this sunday.

Went out last Saturday (5/14), launched at coast guard station. The launch was filled with red crab. Got out past the mouth and went for rockfish, got 6 total. Came back into the harbor and short barracuda was biting on the swim baits, lots of fun. Good luck out there :reel:

Thanks for the report. Tied up lately, so vicariously fishing via these reports. I didn't know that barries are inside the harbor.

Almost every cast, lots of fun on my bass rig, although tore up a few swim baits.
