It's that time of year again...Lobster season starts October 3rd!
As usual Promar will be having free Lobster Hoopnet Seminars as various tackle stores in So Cal...come on by and learn a few tips or share some new info...I'll have a 32" Classic style flat net and and an Eclipse conical style net to give away along with a Sea Lion Proof Bait Tube, a Bait Suspender, and a bunch of Promar beanies and hats at each seminar...also...I'll have a few of the "New" AHI Live Deception Jigs to give away.
I'll have some Promar bags with a copy of the CCA magazine "The Tide", a Promar Hooping checklist and some stickers for each person in attendence at SavOn Tackle....and...John Balanti (the new CCA L.A. Chapter President) will be there to sign up anyone that hasn't joined the CCA yet and he'll answer any CCA-CAL questions you may have.
Sept. 23rd. at 6:30pm at SavOn Tackle in Santa Fe Springs
Sept. 26th at noon at the Sport Chalet in Torrance
Sept. 27th 7 to 9am..."Let's Talk HookUp" radio show on the Mighty 1090AM (with 'on the air' give aways prizes)
Sept 27th at 11am. at the West Marine in San Diego on Rosecrans near Shelter Island
October 1st at 6:30pm at Turners in San Marcos

These seminars are a must for the novice hooper. Jim provides a ton of good advise and techniques that will help you be successful.

Do we have anything like this in the Ventura County area? I want to hoop for the first time this year and I'm sure it would shorten the learning curve a lot

I am sure you meant to type 32" (inches) net and not 32' (feet).


Anybody who wants to learn about how to hunt for lobsters with hoop net, should attend these free seminars. I have attended many of them at the Fred Hall Show in Long beach.

Well worth your time.
