PA 14 and 50/200 transducer question,
So before I start hacking on my new transducer to make it fit my PA was wondering if anybody had posted pics or would be willing to post pics of the mod, I did a search but couldn't find a post. I'm fairly certain I know what you guys did but if theres a easier way to go about it that what I want to do.:reeling:

Ok...now why do you need to start hacking up your transducer? Does your PA have a Lowrance Ready slot?

I think your right, the guys that have the 50/200 455/800 just chop the bracket and call it good. Do you have the Elite series? It seems most guys that bought the elite series ended up switching over to the HDS. |

Some guys claim they got it in
Without haking it . Bs :the_finger:. I took mine to grinder and took off a half inch of bracket. I grabbed a drill bit that matched up with the old existing hole . One shot , and you are done . Trust me , I was reluctant to destroy another $200 dollar transducer . :svengo: .

I just figured all this out myself. I'm using a HDS-7 gen3. So the bad news is, If you want your downscan HD and you want true CHIRP sonar, you need to run 2 ducers. |
I just put an Elite 7 transducer on my PA17 without modifications, should be plenty of room as long as it is the same mold.
