LJ night raid

Hearing about some SD guys hitting up LJ on Friday evening looking for? Maybe LJ feesh or just some sandy night landings. Do tell guys, inquring minds want to hear.

I heard at least 1 guy rolled broke everything lost his 50# seabass in the surf and is still trying to dig sand outta his crack....

FISH11 05-03-2015 03:07 PM

That's an expensive and not forgettable OUUUUCHHHHH!

roadx 05-03-2015 03:52 PM

Might be pictures of them arriving in daylight, but landing in cammies in the dark, cold and wet at night with tails between their legs, I doubt it. We know it happened guys, just man up!

I heard at least 2 guys ate it. 😏. But then again, talk is cheap.

DEAMON, What's up amigo, heard your name mentioned, tell me it is NOT true?
You and gear ok? The call of a 50+ pound ghost is strong right now.

I didn't have to be rescued...
I didn't have to rescue anyone...
Andre screams like a little bitch when he's being thrown out of his kayak...
Beach landings on a windy night can be a problem...
I thought there was a lunar eclipse occurring but then I realized my PA was on top of me...
No ghosts caught...
Night trip was more like a dusk trip...
Home in bed much earlier than planned...

nobody seriously hurt

good day fishing , or night . :kayak-surfer: . Thanks for sharing experience .

Cadillyak 05-04-2015 01:07 PM

Ha! It's all good. I'm ready to do it again. Was in much earlier than expected. It's landings like that, which make me consider my choice being a PA. Then when I'm on the water it's like, "oh yea, that's why"!

First time wiping out in the surf after several years of beach launches. Have to pay my dues I imagine. Sort of like getting jumped in. Wish I could blame it on a huge wave cracking me in the dark, but it was human error that caused me to roll it. Regardless, no gear was lost as it was safely stowed away in the front hatch of my Malibu Extreme. Awesome learning experience I must say.

makobob 05-04-2015 01:55 PM

So, surf 3 and fishermen 0. But that is just round one LJ. Other rounds coming from up and down the coast, as spring and summer decend on us. GO get them ghosts!!!

Chuck D 05-04-2015 02:26 PM

Well... surf 3/1, one of us landed safely, not too sure who that was:p

makobob 05-04-2015 02:32 PM

Way to go Chuck.

Cadillyak 05-04-2015 07:37 PM

Yea yea yea chuck. Then u go out and nail two nice fish. And the saga continues.

Chuck D 05-05-2015 05:13 AM

Andre, the saga continues when we all go out again, all catch fish and no one crashes, till next time:D

I saw you launching on the web cam Andre. I didn't know you where part of the group in the story. Too bad the web cam doesn't have a recorded timeline were you could go back and see some of the epic landings. Watching the tourists in the rentals is not enough fun.
