question is what kind? And how do we find a predator that doesn't have a full stomach?

That's pretty incredible stuff steevo! If the water was that clean all the time, I bet we would see stuff like that more often! Very cool video!

Anyone else notice around the 40 sec. mark. A large predator swimming in the middle of the circle.

Yes, those are called leopard sharks/sand sharks. they are mean and nasty with big teeth. I hope nobody has a line out from the pier.
There are swimmers down there! LOOK OUT!!!

Yeah, service sucks buried in the Redwoods of Humboldt county! Fishing for exotics does too, it's all salmon and rockfish!

If only we could use a cast net south of point loma, we'd have all we need in 30 seconds, for a full day of fishing! !

What a sight to see, wish I could be there and be  look at all these bait fishes. The water looks so clear and tropical. Thanks for sharing.

That video is cool!

Is there a efficient way of getting achovy for bait from a kayak? (other than a bait barge)

Great vid !! I was driving along the Carlsbad coastline ths morning and from the cliffs looking down on the waves it looked exactly like those pics at La Jolla. I would have thought it was something else had I not seen the vid. Bigwatersedge is really a educational site !!! I'm gettin smarter everytime I read sheet here.:luxhello:
