Igloo super tough 120qt cooler

Walmart is selling it for around $79
Anyone have experience with it?
I need something for baja and longer trips but can't seem to justify $300-400 for a cooler..
Thank you,

I've had several different igloo "marine" grade type coolers, but not that specific model, though. The ones I've had have been.... just kind of decent, I guess. Too bad because they're made about an hour and a half away from Austin, TX and I liked buying them in part because of that.

Really, with most coolers, it appears one of the most important thing is to check is how tight the lid fits. A tight and great fitting lid = no air circulation == ice longevity.

West marine has a 98q on sale today only for 100.

Costco even has them at a decent price.

I have the Igloo 120 qt Polar cooler. I freeze blocks of ice and use it on multi-day hunting trips.
It's big and will hold a 350LB deboned animal but you need to manage your ice and keep it out of the sun.
A large fish won't fit, but it has an access hatch in the lid which the tail can stick through.
The access hatch in the lid is a nice feature as you don't have to keep opening the entire lid to get inside.
The latches and hinges break over time and I replaced the plastic hinges with a stainless steel piano hinge.

Having said that, I have considered upgrading to a Pelican or other thick wall brand cooler to manage ice
for the larger coolers or by itself when the trip (such as bird hunting Salton Sea) doesn't require bringing
home something big. As you probably know the thick walled coolers are expensive and heavy.

So for the price, you get size and decent cooling using blocks of ice.

I have one also, for about two years. Except for the plastic latches breaking it works fine. I replaced the latches with the metal ones from their web site.

The ice stays a long time, even in the sun, I've had ice stay frozen for about 3-4 days. As far as capacity goes I have had a 75lb thresher shark fit into it once I detached the tail.
