100% sure I'm going. Red Saturn with Malibu XFACTOR, sand camo. I'll launch from kids beach as well. I did CGS last time, and there's too much sand to pull the yak through to the water. I'll probably hit the kelp too, and pick up some bait on the way out. But I'd like to try my luck pounding some rocks first. See you there.:reel:

When I do coast guard I take my kayak around the mechanics building and down the dock. Its a lot less sand that way but now I got sand wheels I might pull it all the way for the heck of it.

I'll have to try that then. I just followed two other BWE ' rs last time i went, and they launched there before, and they went through the sand.

Nice fishing with you too Jaime.

I only got one more rockfish. I limited out on tomcod and lizard fish though, lol jk!! Must have caught 20 of each, so frustrating. Then I headed to the harbor and got a legal halibut on a swimbait! I'll post the pictures and report in a bit.:you_rock:

I bet it is!! I got four filets off it, and just one is twice as much meat as one rockfish that I got, so maybe equal to about 8 small rockfish. It's my first legal and first time I to filet one. I couldn't believe how much meat you get pound for pound.

I'll have to find a nice recipe for that one.
