Pro angler
I wanted to share a video , this pertains to you're recent roll over in surf . Needless to say , you are not the first , and this is a part 2 of a past shared video . I did not see anyone share this concurrent video , so I wanted to bring this topic to the table . Needless to say I would never wish your experience on anyone , and I am glad you are free of serous injury.

thanks Jorge
i am recent owner of a PA , and so is Jorge , and this is part # 2 of when things go wrong . again , i don't recall someone posting this vid .

That's flipping nuts, I don't think I'd ever take a hobie out in that. I'd attempt it in my Tarpon completely empty but I can't think of any good reason to even try. Although with conditions like that I bet everything was WFO, that's how it always works.

don't fib
;) . it reminds me of the wide open bite last year at county line . . summer is around the corner . i am not sure if it helps or not , but what i have been doing is lowering the seat to almost flush deck . i noticed on the video's that everyone had the vantage seat raised up . since i bent so many shafts last year , i elected to paddle the yak in , as opposed to peddle in . i have only done less than a dozen landings in the pa , and i am no expert by any means . i will not mention any names , but there are users here , that have hundreds of hours of operation on the pro angler . any opinions on keeping the center of gravity lower?

That's an old video, I'm sure I've seen it on BWE before, multiple times. That guy should have not gone out in those conditions, it's his own fault that happened to him.
|
x2 on going out when it looks like that. Wind chop like that is mean!
If the wind picks up and there are white caps + swell I lower the seat. Same as surf landing/launching. Eli |
That was pretty nasty conditions. I would have passed on going out.

I wouldn't go out in that weather if I was in that sport boat at dock...

That's not a "how to be safe video" that's more like how to be a stupid moron video!! :hmmmm2:
Why would you launch in those conditions? That looked like 30 miles an hour winds. Even the guy on the boat was smart enough to pack up and go home! |
