Been going out to vail lately. There is not much to report on fish wise. No epic lmb bite like we had last year no shad busting in the coves, but have seen lots of wildlife out there.

Caught a red racer crossing one of the fingers.

Dogs love fishing too

Got your message, I apologize for the "no reply". I've had a virus the last few days and it's wrecked me.....the only reason I'm up at 2:30am. Nice bass, and forked jaw lmb.

Nice going Eli. I am going to have to get out there with you soon.

It seems like they change the rules on Vail Lake by the hour. I have called them several times and have gotten a different response every time. The first time I called they said I could bring a kayak and pay 25 bucks for the day. The next time I called they said that I had to buy a membership.

I know that they are having financial issues so you would think they would welcome the revenue from daily fees.

People leaving a bunch of trash may have had something to do with it.
