Anyone ever launched out of BC and fished the oil rigs outside of it? I would think there might be a bunch of fish near that structure?

I used to fish the oil rigs on my boat years ago. Since 9-11 they do not let you get within 100 feet of them. The guys working the rigs used to toss us muscles for bait.

A couple of seasons ago me and two friend launched out of the river mouth there and paddled out the rigs, it was a lot of work for the turds and the few cudas we caught. launched at 5 am and were back on land by 2 or 3.
