GoPro Lure ?
Thanks Manny...that's a lot of Butts.
Mr. Patrick...I think the red flashing light on the front of the GoPro works great as a "hot new lure". These Sand Dabs were attracted to it... <iframe width="420" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/YOBmHG0o664" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YOBmHG0o664 Jim / Saba Slayer |
Those are Pacific Halibut, and they school regularly. There is lots of video out there of them. They are on my bucket list for kayak fishing in the over 150lb class.

Pacific Halibut. you wont find California Halibut doing that but you can find halibut in California doing that.
a good lure for them is a 10" section of white nylon rope. thread some single strand wire though it and attach a 2/0 treble at either end. add a split ring to one treble and attach a swivel and torpedo weight to that split ring. tie your main line to the swivel and bounce it. |
If only halibut down here were that easy. Or plentiful.
