Jan. 2nd hoopnetting
 

I dropped 4 nets off the breakwater jetty close to the green light. The first net had 4 just short lobsters. 2nd net had one lobster on the bottom side of the net that fell off near the surface. 3rd net was empty and 4th net the local net robbing seal stole my bait. The seal here is a pain the butt. You have to use the bait cages and and ZIP tie the heck out of em. Heavy fog came rolling in and called it a day.

That's a lot of work for one set.

Those drake pucks are a nice idea. I believe they deter seals. I've hooped the same area and have not had issues w/ seals. I've seen them in the water but they did not mess w/ the nets.

Thought about whether you'd make it out. I saw the fog roll in in around 3:30 and it got cold!
