Fish finder didn't survive the roll over
So about two weeks ago I had my first roll over. Weather was terrible and a wave caught me off guard and I was swimming with the fishes.
I fortunately had everything leashed so nothing was lost however, my Lowrance Elite 4 took a bath and despite my best efforts it appears to be taking a dirt nap. So my question is, do I get the exact same thing or upgrade to DSI or? |
what exactly broke
on the unit? or do you know ? hummingbirds are notorious for breaking pins on connectors . i had similar situation as yours ( when i first started yakking , along time ago :D ) i got away with only replacing power cord . if it is trashed , and you are going to replace the unit ? needless to say it is about money and how much you can afford .bass pro had a unit on sale and just about every lowrance unit is on sale at west marine . good luck . personally i like down scan.

How old is the unit? They have a year warranty. I had similar issues with an elite 5 and lowrance replaced it twice. Cost me shipping and a couple weeks without, but I found Navico to be as quite responsive
BTW, I went from an elite 5 to an elite 5 dsi and quite honestly don't like it as well. Imaging of s good for structure but for spotting bait or fish in general it is not near as good as my original elite 5. The dsi functionality really degrades in water deeper that100 ft. I'll move to the HDS 5 next year. Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk 4 |
cabalas has the Elite 4 DSI with lake charts for $259-$20 coupon - $100 rebate =$160 with shipping.
