A little clarification...I misunderstood Ms Barsky at the last meeting when she said they (the DFW) would make a presentation to the DFW Commission at the December 11th and 12th meeting in San Diego...They are not presenting the FMP...instead they are presenting the LAC's recommendations for the FMP at this meeting. It's still a very important meeting and if you have something to say to the commission about these recommendations, please attend and get more info or speak your peace.

Here is a abbreviated timeline of the future of this FMP process...There are no firm dates, this timeline was done by quarters...
4th quarter 2113- Presentation to commission of LAC's recommendations on FMP Dec. 11&12 in San Diego
1st quarter 2014- LAC review of Draft FMP
3rd quarter 2014- Public comment on draft FMP
3rd quarter 2014- LAC meeting to receive public input on draft FMP
1st quarter 2015- Present draft FMP and regulatory proposals to commission and initiate regulatory process
1st quarter 2015- Public comment on regulatory package
3rd quarter 2015- Effective date of new regulations
