Was that you fishing the Carlsbad kelp off the Powerplant?

I saw three kayakers in the kelp today, I think they were fishing. If that was you, how did you do today?

I saw a tandem Oasis yellow take off from the surf (two teenagers I think). one was on the back seat and the other was holding the kayak steady and perpendicular to the waves. I thought for sure they were going to flip, but the kid on the kayak kept paddle (did not see any mirage drives) and the other was swimming behind the kayak until they passed the breaks. Afterwhich he climbed aboard the kayak and then paddle to the kelps!:you_rock: I guess that's one way to do it...hope to hear some report...

I have Independence Day off and would love to fish close to home but landing there with the mega crowd would be sketchy. People almost always go into your path rather than away. I like to bowl, just not with tourists as the pins. :)

I may have to hit it up out there ive looked at thw surf and it doesn't look to bad to launch out of. And yea the landing with all the tourists would be a bit sketchy
