Polorized lens
 

Looking for some recommendations on polarized sunglasses. Specifically for sight fishing.:yt::yt::yt:

$250 below range

Smith Interlocks are my favorite. Easy change lenses to match conditions, the rock.

All of my glasses are polarized. Have pairs of arnettes, spy's, Von zippers. Had em in dark lenses and amber. I prefer amber.

Whatever you do don't get Oakleys. They're polarized lenses sux. They were awesome using overseas and probably my favorite brand of glasses. They're just not made for site fishing. I have a pair of Ray Ban Aviators polarized I use for site fishing. Hands down the best brand I have used. I use them every year in Canada for fishing for spawning smallmouth in 10-20' of water.

i third the Maui Jim's..

polarized will help sight fishing big time. vz kickstand is a pair. using gators now since they are a local company in temecula. I like them cause if they go in the drink im out 60 insted of 160. yep lost a few:cool:

I have the rose-colored maui jims, with the thin titanium wrap-around arms. They hardly feel like I'm wearing anything.. but I worry I'm going to lose them. $$$

Honestly, I have a pair of Berkley fishing sunglasses I got at Sports Chalet. They are polarized, and have bifocal lens at the bottom, which might be kind of handy for rigging... for some of you old geezer folks... not me, of course... :rolleyes:

Without getting into to much detail I will tell you *from experience* that my $250 Maui Jim glasses came very, and I mean very close to making their new home at the bottom of Cabrillo. I bought them at 530pm on Saturday and almost lost them at 530am Sunday. That same day Sunday I stopped at Sports Chalet for some straps, that was one of the best $7 purchases that I've ever made

I have a couple pairs of berkleys I got at Walmart for $3 (they were in wrong place so I got them cheaper normally $15) they work fine and I don't have to worry about losing them

Costas for me! Love them

Seconded on the Oakley glasses. They make me sick. Normal oakleys are great and what I where. I bought cheap ones at Bass pro. If they sink i just go get another pair.

Maui Jim's for me also - with the amber lens...

Ive tried a few of the maui's which i like a lot but i was blown away when putting on some Kaenon C12 lens. Anyone use these?

I use some tinted oakleys that are supposed to be safety glasses designed for combat/shooting that work awesome. I am not even really sure if they are polarized or not. I think they are normally in the 90 dollar range, which is cheap for oakleys and they also have no metal on them and come with a head band, which helps in the salt water.

Yeah oakley polarized sucks they get scratch up real easy and looks like the coaying peels...I have two pairs to prove it. Maui's are my favorite but always worry of losing them.

I use Costa glasses. They're hand assembled and have various levels of polarization and plastic or glass lenses. The plastic lenses are ANSI Z87.1 rated ie. Safety Glasses for protection against hooks and such. And the best part, they have a lifetime warranty.

Typhoon glasses are half the price of costas and are just as good. Polarization is polarization. Typhoon uses injected polarization so never will it peel or fade. They also have a lifetime warranty and come with a good case. I got mine for $50 at day at the docks. You should check them out. Very comfortable

KAENON are better than them all... Tough lenses, wrap around so they do t let light in... Best FISHING glasses out there. Cost about your upper limit though.
