Pot Hopping Part II
 

I took a right turn this week and metered a ton of traps along the way. My gps said I travelled just under 10 miles. Messed around with the camera and filmed a bunch of mostly dink fish. Lots of variety and action. At the very end of my fishing I end up hooking the best fish of the day and I'm thinking cool, it'll be on video. 29 seconds in I hear a "beep beep beep", look back and the camera's turned itself off. Either ran out of storage or battery. But that's the way it goes sometimes. The very end of the video will show a much stronger pull by that fish and then... Turned out to be a 28" butt which went home. All the others were released.

Great video. Thanks for posting it.

Showed it to my wife. Her response, "So that's what you try to do every time you go out." My response, "Anyone can go out and catch fish, not everyone can fish all day and not get a single bite." Getting a FF installed this week, that has to help. I hope! :)

Ha! If I had this camera ever since I've been yakking, you'd know this was great placement for me. I've got a gaff scar on the yak that luckily didn't punch a hole all the way through the hull...not to mention a few swing and misses too. How exactly does one swing a three foot gaff and miss a fish? Watch me.

If the Team Sewer Brothas give me the opportunity...I will drive all distances, crash through any wave, suffer through all weather conditions, I will offer any Team Sewer my second to last live squid :D and fish to the death (or tournament deadline)...unfortunately, no boat trips for me this year.
