what sticks to kayaks?
will a polyester fiberglass stick to the plastic most kayaks are made of?
If not ,any suggestions, I'm building a permanent lock boxl for my keys etc. NOT trying to make a patch! thanks. |
Have you tried Marine Goop? I use this stuff alot on my Kayak
|
You could probably find a Pelican type case that has a spot for a padlock. You could bolt or rivet it down and use some goop for a good seal.

Try this stuff 3m dp-8005

3M 5200 (especially slow cure) and also West Systems G-Flex do pretty good.

thanks guys gives me a place to start. Back is healing so lots of time to make a mess of things:D

Not much
Marine goop is ok temp sealer but will come off at some point.
5200 n g flex epoxy will work well if rough up surface. Nvr heard of ne one trying to glass onto yak. I would recommend fasteners rather than adhesive for you purposes Some a hole wud b tempted to pry open adhered lock box ruining ur gear |
