Okay, what's the question?;)

I like the stealth because the livewell is in front, right between your legs.

Jimmyz123 11-13-2012 05:41 AM

Roll with the Stealth, if I were going to buy a Malibu again I would get the stealth for the bait tank setup.

I have owned both yaks and loved and hated both ! If you are a pack rat and know you will be loaded with gear I would go with the x- factor. If you are able to keep your gear to a few small boxes I would go with the stealth.

On the xfactor you can convert the forward battery compartment into a bait tank and still have a hatch to store your stuff.

Yep 2012 models. Get the best of both worlds !

Whenever Malibu decides to use quality hatches (baitwell) and storage compartments (side storage) i will take them seriously but i could not believe how cheap and flimsy their hatches and components are.

There's just no excuse for that. I see better quality on Fisher Price toys.:(:(:embarassed:

I agree. I find that Malibu makes some of the best hatches out there. I still prefer Ocean Kayaks over them all but I did love the hatches on the X-factor I had. Solid and leak proof.

I really like the maibu hatches, they lock into place and dont leak a single drop, unlike the ocean kayak hatches which almost sunk my yak once surf launching in way too big of waves, ocean kayak ones just dont seal as well. But both brand of kayak have there stong points and weakness. I could complain about weeknesses in both but kayaks are geat and have a time and place to be used, i dont belive there is a kayak that can do everything perfect so choose the one with the features you like and that will work for you.

The hatches on my malibu kayaks work fine. Easy to use and no leaks.
