Whoch yak for my bro
I want to got him a yak but i really dont know much about hull types or how they cut through waves and all that. Hes 5'9 or 5'10 and 210 pounds. Were going to be paddling mostly in the harbors and sometimes heading out through the surf or out the wavebreaker. I want to buy him something stable but fast, with good space and thats not hard to paddle. The yak has to be one from malibu kayaks cause im gonna buy it from the sale this saturday. I was looking at the exfactor but its kinda wide making me think its slow? Waiting for your guys inputs. Oh and Storage is not a problem. Thanks.

I'm looking as well and your brother and are are built pretty much the same. I like the tridents but the malibu X-13 looks like a great choice too. I'm looking forward to the pro's kicking in on this one! But a Sale really ! :D |
I too, would love more info about this sale you're talking about....
XFactors and Stealths aren't that much slow. It's how you paddle them :p But they sure are stable! |
He can buy my hobie :p

my x factor wasn't slow. sure it got slower the further you went, but making it from the launch to the squid grounds i could keep up just fine with my buddy on his outback.
id go with a stealth 12, 14 or x factor. even an X 13, the extreme however is an extremely wet ride from what i remember. |

Try an awesome SEA EAGLE 465 FastTrack Kayak with a Fishing Package. SEA EAGLE ROCKS!!! Love it very much! It can hold 3 persons/loads up to 795 pounds. Its performance goes very well both in an open ocean AND Class III Whitewater! It's built strong to last long years same as most US Police & Fire Dept's inflatable rescue rafts. You can transport it everywhere in the world using a small car or airplane. Great to bring it to Hawaii!!! Can keep it inside a tiny apt closet. No hassles!!! Of course, I'll go fishing for YT and WSB in La Jolla using my FastTrack 465 which has enough room to hold 600 pounds of fish aboard. I have had paddled 14 miles in the vast LB Harbor and 11 miles in both NPH and offshore. And also, 8 miles in NPH with two ladies aboard! See it to believe yourself! :reel: :cheers1:
