Ghostfest the revenge ToadsToadsOnly style.
Caught this little guy amongst the fleet last sat number 6 for me within the last couple months but my first LJ tanker. I was stoked ! Taped out at 50" how heavy is a seabass this size anyway ?

I would guess 40+lbs (35-45+ for 50") |
Congrats on a very nice fish!
:cheers1::cheers1::cheers1: I had a couple of 51inchers both come in at 43pounds. |
Nice job! The 52" wsb I got last year weighed 42lbs.
Congrats!
Beautiful!
I has a couple 51"ers this year, one was 36#s, the other 43#s. The weight can vary a lot based on whether they're spawned out or not. Your's looks around 40... Nice fish!
Congrats on that beauty. Looks fat.
Way to go man!
Cool looking fish! Kinda reminds me of an oilfish or escolar :wsb:

I thought it looked like an escolar also (White Tuna) thats actually one of my favorite sushi to eat. Thanks guys the last few times I been out to La Jolla I got rocked by the exotics so it is nice to finally put one on board. Purchasing a Hobie was the best thing I could of possibly done to increase my chances with the exotics, man peddling makes things so much easier I have so much more time to fish when paddles are not in my hands. |
Congrats on the aweome catch. Still looking for my first off the Yak!
congrats... I had one at 54" and 54 pounds... I guess some are just fatter than others. Still very tasty and lots of meat! (and memories!)
Jonathan,
