Shikari 20-40lb Custom Rod

I recently built this Shikari rod. Built on a FS764 blank that was cut about 6" from tip, 20-40lb setup 7'er. Blue Hypalon grips, AmTak guides and reel seat. Nice dragon wrap on the butt end.

$200 PM if interested. Never used.

Sorry if this sounds dumb, but what is the benefit of cutting the tip? Rod looks great, though.

It changes the action of the rod.
