saturday 23rd june, a few of us met up at shelter island around 4ish. some had the fish gods on their side however it was not me:o, at the end of the day i had this to show for my 4+hours of fishing. nice huh

Grilled octopus ala olive oil is the shit, man.... Hee he hee...

I caught a 2lb octopus in the bay the other day too, he ate 1/2 way through my sardine. I was going to keep him but he slipped through my mirage drive

The peddle from SI to the bait barge with 5 yaks in a loose formation before sunrise was pretty nice. It was great to meet up with you, Robby, Jim and Randy.

I did not fair much better, after I left you and Jim over by the Jetty I went back for another scoop at the bait barge and fished the inside edge of the green bouy line for a few more hours. It was Slow to say the least, I got some good hits and deeply raked baits that kept me trying & hoping but I just could not seem to hook up.

I was hoping you guys would work your way over to me but I guess you slipped passed me on your way in. I Made it back to SI and it was 3:30 by the time I had loaded up and started the truck.

We'll meet up again and we'll get some fish. We just need to get enough time on the water and eventually it is gonna happen:cheers1:

I'm planning on doing LJ on Sat the 30th and again on Monday the 2nd. It would be great to do another meet up for some good times and actually get some fish. I'll bring enough beer next time too ;)

I now regret not taking a picture of my XL Urchin...I appreciate you guys letting me jump in. That was a definite ground and pound with minimal payback. The fish God's will reach down for you soon Nast, you just don't give up.
