Transducer install
so I'm installing a transducer in my 'new' Cobra. I know the method I'm going to try first (Duct Seal w/ a little water) but I have some questions.
From bow to stern there's a V-shaped channel that runs down the middle. If I mount the transducer over it will the angles of that V have a negative affect on the signal? Or should I mount it a few inches to port or starboard on a flatter space? |

I have a Corbra and mounted the transducer with Marine goop in the "V" inside the hull and have not had any issues and it's been about 4 years now.

the prefered location for me would be centrally located on the bow where the V is narrowest. The other options would be
a little off to either side or right below the seat where the transducer fits inside the V. Good looking Jim. Does your 'ducer rest on both sides of the channel with water separating the 'ducer from the hull in the middle? |
I mounted mine in the narrows and its works fine. just make sure its sits level in the hull not tiltin up or down. and goop it good

I was thinking about a box/tubberware install but those contours would be difficult to shape |
Jim, can u describe in detail your install?
