What the heck is this?
Just got a Hobie Revo, my first Hobie.
Was cleaning it today and found this rolling around when I opened the back hatch. Any idea where it goes? http://i266.photobucket.com/albums/i...mnash/part.jpg Thank in advance, Dave |
replacement rudder pin, designed to break first vs jacking the whole thing...not sure if it works on all rudders...ie sailing rudder
|
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA........I recall asking the same question. I thought it was some sort of hook remover tool thingy
|
It looks like the differential girdle spring. it's part of the turbo incabulator

H2O removal device. Make sure you always have fresh batteries in it.
Safety first! |
"reciprocating dingle-arm"
Matt, isn't that what you sit on when you're on your kayak? |

Exactly what it is. And it will work with all rudders. There should be a notch on the underside of the back hatch as well as the center hatch to hold the spare pin. |

True-dat. The rudder pin has nothing to do with the how the rudders are mounted http://i997.photobucket.com/albums/a...g?t=1337145405 |
Thanks for all the informative and funny answers, I like it.
At first glance I thought it was part of the Flux Capacitor, there is a 1.21J stamped in it. :D |
