Made it out this morning last minute for a few hours since the Wife and kids stayed at Grandmas. Needed to get to work by 12pm so only had a short time this morning. Launched off the surf side and headed straight out to that first red buoy (don't know the name). The water was fairly rough with some big swells but no wind. Got a bunch of marks on the meter and started throwing a green warhead with a 3" sardine hammer. Pulled up a few short bass that were released and a couple Sculpin. I set up a dropper loop rig with some cut squid and had it drifting on bottom while I threw the swimbait. The squid ended up hooking up a nice size Calico. Kept that bad boy and headed in to wash up and head for work.
I was pretty happy with my last minute 3 hour trip this morning :)

I saw a couple guys launch out this morning just before me at 7. If that was you, sorry I didn't paddle up, I was on a mission :)

the sets can be pretty short sometimes, but I haven't had too many problems and I'm still pretty much a beginner to surf It is the only beach I have launched from.
