Interesting hand pump bait tank
What do you think about that hand pump bait tank ? ( you will see it half down the video)

That's actully pretty cool. Espcially since you can take the cooler and divide it. 1/2 as a livewell, half as a...well...cooler for your lunch/drinks.
I'm curious how the more fragile bait like sardine will hold up in there though. Those things barely stay alive in my bait tube for more than an hour. I'm sure mac's won't have any problems. |
That PA is BAD ASS!!!!

My first bait tank was a 5 gal. bucket. The overflow was made by drilling holes a few inches below the rim. I used a hand held bilge pump and zip tied the hose to the bucket so the end would stay at the bottom. A couple of pumps now and then and the bait would do fine. Spanish mackerel live very well with this type of set-up, greenbacks OK, sardines not so well.

I wish someone would bring back the Thresher Tank.
One of the best bait tanks made. |

So bring back the New and Improved Sammons Tank. -Lighter and Simple - with No Switch to fail. An automotive waterproof connector like Hobie uses for their battery connection would be the Holy Grail of connections. There is a market Jim. |
The Aussies sure know how to put together a nice fishing Yak - Love the koala leather seat! LOL
I rigged my old Scupper pro with the same "zip lines" to move the drift chute or kelp tie to the back or front of the yak, it works great that way. |
