9/19 LJ
Hit the pier around 5AM, surf was ankle high, light breeze blowing offshore. Plenty of macs buzzing around but I did not find em really willing until it greyed up and that was 50 yards north of the pier. Hit the point and worked my way to around the 1/2. Current and wind pushed me south. Had a taker on the BIG greenie that did not stick. Then a calico and as I am lifting the calico the other line goes, straight spectra made for a head snapping quick fight, maybe 7 pounder, both released.
http://i51.photobucket.com/albums/f3...9-19double.jpg My battery on my tank was not charged and died and so did my tank of bait. Made a couple spanish for another calico and a couple barracuda on the iron. Only nice boil I saw was as the Dolphin pulled out from north of La Valencia with the Terns still diving, a BIG YT came up in front of me. I wanted to take a few more paddle strokes and then my spanish goes off. If I knew it was another stoopid calico I would have just left it and tossed the iron   Beautiful morning, felt like December with the NE breeze, although the water still feels like Summer. |
The colors on that Calico awesome. Nice one Andy

That's cool. Wish I could add more of a comment, but I think "that's cool" pretty much sums it up :D .
