Very cool video, makes me consider spearfishing. I have too many neglected hobbies as it is, looks fun though

X3 Tough to practice C & R with a spear gun. I have no problem, however, if all those fish made it to the dinner table. Calicos are quite tasty.

I feel ya on the C&R. I seriously saw hundreds if not thousands of calicos on the last few trips to Cat. Schools of calicos were at every stop. I mean schools of a hundred fish EVERYWHERE. Also, I know these fish are old, but come MLPA time nobody will ever be able to catch them where I did ever again. They made it to the dinner table and were great! With each large calico or seabass I thank them for their life. Seabass also take many years to grow to 50lbs, but people don't seem to care as much about the killing of them. I care about all that I kill and have been passing on more and more fish. The last trip I made to Cat I took one (1) calico for an entire day. (160 drops). |
Great post. Nice video.
Dude, eat what you catch and you are cool. Don't let a few individuals impose their "standards" on you. I love seeing a guy's avitar with a 50 inch WSB and then he decides that the fish you caught is a no no. Most sportsmen are the biggest protectors of wildlife. Tight lines.:D |

Remember that scene in Avatar when he kills the wild beast thing and he thanks him for his life, and so on.
I agree with the philosophy. |
