How much money have You Donated to the sea.

Poll:

Just wanted to know how much money everyone has donated to the sea.

( by donation: I mean the ocean has taken things that belong to you by force)

Either by capsize, bad launch or landing..etc....

In other words "Lost in the sea"

If you would like to share your generous donation please go ahead. :p

This poll will not keep track of names.

Only people fishing less than a couple of years can even count that high!:o
And if you own a boat... forget it.

When you say 'donated' do you mean 'lost'?

rossman 09-06-2011 04:29 PM

Under $2k but it's taken me 12 years. Most in the first 2 years. I learn slow but I learn good.

I went from a boat to a kayak....I've lost more than my fair share to the sea.

dorado50 09-06-2011 04:47 PM

I lost a hat once,it was a freebie however, hope that makes your losses less hurtful...

I have done some donating for sure!

the sea has also donated to me.

half the fish I caught this summer, was off a rod my friend found in his lobster gear last season! I had to clean barnacles off the thing...

DanaPT 09-06-2011 06:29 PM

a beloved calcutta 200 te/shimano rod. Still in mourning.

other stuff:
binoculars
pliers
a nice halibut

not too bad for the first year. Making rod leashes now. I Vow to not lose any more stuff.

StinkyMatt 09-06-2011 07:16 PM

rusty fillet knife

rusted up, sticking pair of needle nose pliers.
