Fish finder install quest...
Would like to know what you're using to seal up the hole when running the FF wire through your kayak. For example alot of people use a rubber groumet. I would like to see/hear of other things to use when drilling thru the top of your boat.

since then i have changed my unit to a hummingbird, unfortunately the cables are a bit bigger and i had hard time running the cables thru the opening. i ended up having to drill out a bit of plastic out of it to allow clearance for the cables. once i drilled the extra materiel out, the rubber seal did not fit, so i ended up using some goop to create a water tight seal. this has been a good solution for me. it definitely works better than pushing some extra foam into the hole aka stinkymatt. |
