harbor freight special
GEEEZZ!! A fish finder! What don't they sell at Harbor Freight???
I wonder if it is worth the gamble? http://www.harborfreight.com/portabl...der-94511.html |
i would just save some money by not buying this but rather get a nice used one if you were on a budget.
|
hahaha thats sad, recomending used items over brand new ones... poor harbor freight.
|
you get what you pay for, I would say you would be better off buying a known good used unit, or just get on the freeway, get up to about 65 mph, open the window and watch the money fly IMO:reel:

That looks like an ATARI 2600 game. You get 100 points for large fish and 50 points for small fish.
Oh and you also get a photon torpedo launcher!:D:D:D I would buy this thing right now!:biggrinjester: |

I wouldn't recommend it
I notice it has a range of 0-100 feet. OK for the bays I guess. And while I get lots of stuff from HF, I'm wary of anything electrical. Not too much can go wrong with a hammer or a pair of gloves, but electronics are different, and I think most of their power tools are crap. That being said, I've had a 19 dollar reciprocating saw of theirs that I originally bought to whack the brush jungle on my hillside, figuring it'd poop out soon thereafter. It's still kicking, though on its last legs, and has come in handy many times. I'd rather buy a new one every few years than pony up $150 bucks for a Sawzall that I only use from time to time. If I was still a full-time tradesman relying on my tools for everyday use, I wouldn't bother with their stuff, but sometimes it'll do fine for home maintenance stuff.

Overall dimensions: 4-1/4" L x 2-3/4" H x 3/4" thick
That means the screen is probably 1" x 1/2" Your better off buying some goggles and sticking your head in the water. |

Sorry for the thread jack, I'd recommend spending a little more for a better FF, this one will end up in the trash soon. |

Crackin' me up!!! |
Looks like a very low pixel count hence the Atari 2600 appearance. The image on the screen looks totally worthless. Tagyak is 100% correct.
|
Mount one on each side angled out by your feet and you'll get some sweet side imaging for sure.
