Yak Yellow LJ 7/14
Had a window of opportunity to take the yak out the afternoon of 7/14 and o'man am I glad I did. Paddled out about 4:30 into fairly choppy conditions although no white caps. Made it to the NW corner with several boats in attendance and a couple of yaks working what's left of the kelp. Birds working several areas sporatically. Trolled a Yozuri for awhile, tossed some irons, plastics, etc for no luck. Decided to break out the Sabiki and got a couple of nice greenback's in the 8"-10" range (nice). Broke out the 30lb rig (Sabre/Jigmaster 500 ). After about 20 mins of soakage and dragging through kelpage the line got taut. Game on. After about 10 mins here is the result....

Just at the right place/right time. Thanks J.T. - likewise my friend. The final weight came in at just below 30lb on an old (somewhat reliable) scale.
