Will Ballast Point have a keg boat on the water?
|
Ummmmmm.....NO
Can't take on that liability. |
List updated as of August 14
I fished in a kayak fishing tournament in Jacksonville this year, they had over 400 anglers, right now we have 48. Come on people, this sport got started here, lets not get shown up that bad by the East Coast. This a a great event for a very important cause, not just the American Cancer Society but also to help one of our own. Please help support our event and get signed up soon. To those of you that have already signed up :cheers1::luxhello::notworthy: Thank you Don't forget to fill out the waver/entry form and get it to us. |

quick work, i just registered this morning and sent my waiver via email in pfd form and you have me on the list with signed waiver. good job thanks!

By far the best kayak fishing tournament on the west coast, but more importantly a chance to give to a great charity. Only 48 entrants so far?.Must be at least 600 active members on this board alone and I'm not seeing their names on the sign up list. No way 550 are just internet fisherman? Fishing will be off the hook Sept 11th. I'm sure of it.A great chance to give and win some money!:reel:

I wonder sometimes. http://i372.photobucket.com/albums/o.../postwhore.gif Even a bunch of guys from NorCal are coming down to fish in the event. If nothing else, donate the money and get your free shirt. :luxhello: |
Please post the signup link again.

Have you signed up yet? If not, what is preventing you? :)
C'mon guys/gals, this is a good cause, sign up! :reeling::wsb: |
If you are new to the sport and suck at fishing :linesnap:(like me), you need to make it to this event. $50 for a cool t-shirt, great grub, kick-ass raffle and the chance to donate to a great cause fishing.
Make this event one time and you won't want to miss it next year. |
Who's designing the shirts this year?
|
My 2 cents on t-shirts: would love the t-shirt with a pocket.

Paul Elder who does the art for Ballast Point is doing the shirts this year. Not sure about the pocket:)
|
Righteous! The shirts have always looked cool. I have to check my work schedule for availability. Either way, if I can't participate I'll donate... Thanks for the reply Matt..

You have until the end of this month to sign up so you're eligible for the on the water raffle sponsored by OEX. Please don't wait until the last minute. It makes it very hard to plan. Tight Lines! hahaha....just read the rules...."no guides" ??
Is that a new one? does that mean we won't get to compete against Jim, Matt, Josh and any of the other LJ guides or we just can't follow them around all day?:D |
What no guides!!! OMG! I guess I'll be on your ass all day:doh:

You never know. Some of us longshots just might get lucky and drop a line in the right place at the right time. It could happen. Bob |

LMAO, some dudes were bragging that they hired Josh for the tourney day. Loose lips sink ships. :o That rule is about as fuzzy as it gets. So, if I happen to see Josh on the water that day and he heads over to say hi, I run the risk of being disqualified? It also implies that anyone who is a guide is automatically ineligible and shouldn't even be fishing that day. |
No Guides
So you mean I didn't have to strip all the guides off my rods after all? :(
|
28. Professional Guides may not be employed, in any manner, during the tournament to assist angler participants. Fishing with a guide will be cause for disqualification! Here is the rule. I don't want this thread to get out of hand. Professional Guides cannot be employed by another angler on the day of the tournament. Guides may fish in this tournament just like everyone else who pays. We at LJKF find that it would not be fair if some angler's hired guides when other don't. I hope this helps with any clarification. Tight Lines! Matt |
