HOW FEB 28th
 

I'm surprised that there has been no mention if the HOW event on the 28th.
It being only three weeks away I thought I might of heard something by now.
It is still on isn't it?

I've made contact with the WW Bn at Camp Pendleton and he just sent me the paperwork so we can get some of our service members out there. I will be there too!

Sorry guys I am on 7/24 with mom until 1st of March I cannot help with this one.

Hey Matt and Mike and Mike, I've been helping my wife take care of my mother in laws house and effects. We lost her last Thursday. We are going to be going back and forth between here and Phoenix any chance we have. I don't think I can make this one, sorry.

I just submitted the paper work to WW Bn. I should get a response soon on how many we have attending.

I will be there with 2 or 3 other active duty guys to help out.

I'll be there with my boys again. This time I'll mentor.

I sent the information to WW Bn last week and still haven't gotten a response on how many will be attending. I sent another email today and have been trying to call them with no luck. I will keep trying and keep yall posted.

I understand the frustration Chops, Luckily we don't only rely on one source for our veteran participants. I have been working with the San Diego VA and local veterans groups and have been signing people up daily.

These things grow organically, and the last 2-3 days are when everyone finally decides they want to go. Our goal is still to have 40 Vet participants for the 2/28 event.

Quite frankly I think we may exceed 40. We will just keep plugging away and if the wounded warrior battalion doesn't make this event we will try and get them to come out for the next one.

Blasted it at the VA in PL. Going to Balboa Med Center's VA/MWR tomorrow to do the same.

And for everyones information!!!

HOW goes through 20-30lbs of fish per event and we host 9 events per year. Thanks to gracious donations from people on this board such as Tony "Ful-Rac" and others like Tommy Gomes at Catalina Offshore Products we have been lucky enough not to have to buy fish.

However the freezer for HOW is running very low. We have enough fish for our event 2/28 but after that we are completely empty. Without continued support and donations from the community we will be serving HOTDOGS!!!

Please Help in anyway you can. Even 5# makes a difference.

I just got word that we have 4 Marines that would like to attend. I am working the logistics now to get them to Mission Bay on Saturday!!

Awesome! That puts us at 19 total so far. I imagine we'll get at least 10 more before saturday.
