Korean Lobster? nah, let's make it Greek
Got a chance to go lobster fishing for the
first time in about 10 years. Being very rusty, and not current with the lastest and greatest equipment, I went to a seminar. There I learned how to upgrade my old nets. And, I learned alittle more to boot. My upgraded nets now look like this: http://www.bigwatersedge.com/bwegall...014_150611.jpg I was told that the old nets weren't much good in deeper waters. Whatever. I fished in around 100' of water, with a 10mph breeze, strong incoming tide, bumpy ocean, and a mile offshore. Check out the results. And, oh, get ready to cook. http://vimeo.com/109753388 |

Yani, I like how you make things happen once you put your mind into it. :alberteinstein::idea:
That back ground music sound like Mexican music...nice... looks delicious you did it again!! <IFRAME height=315 src="//www.youtube.com/embed/GWGh1YYT4vI" frameBorder=0 width=420 allowfullscreen></IFRAME> |

I've always loved your reports because of the pictures of the food. Now your making videos :cheers1:
I grew up with Greek neighbors and used to get yelled at all the time for walking on the dandy lions. :) |
I like your pronunciation of Feta". :p
Everyone should say it that way. |
Wow, Yani, that dish looks delicious.
I am already tired of lobster this year, but I think I will be trying this recipe very, very soon. :lobster: |
Looks sooo good! That bug at the end was a fargin' PIG! :cheers1:

Now that's what I'm talking about brotha!!!! :drool5:
Very nice video, and I love the background Greek music. :you_rock: :notworthy: Everyone love a bit of Sirtaki, and there is a bit of Sirtaki in everyone. Ooppahh! Just remember, when the Food Network comes knocking, I'm your agent ;) |
leyenda!
|
Wow just wow. Way to go Yani and I say we all chip in and have a party at your place just to watch you cook!
|
Love the music. Nice video, Thanks!

Good eats
You're one hell of a cook Yani...but I'm more interested in your "Ghetto Bait Suspender"...you could take that thing into some Bad neighborhoods and still get out alive!
No way a Sea Lion is going to steal that bait tube and that chain adds some needed weight! I wish Promar would make them with double crimped steel cable like my original prototype. As far as the flat nets in deep water...? Conical style nets are proven to be better at catch retention in deeper water in the hands of "most normal people". The flat style nets require more technique...you need to pull them vertically and FAST. The DFW did a few tests in SD bay a few years back and their results supposedly proved that the conical style are generally more efficient. |
Awesome Yani! San Marzano Canned Tomatoes are the best! Not sure why a Greek guys is using Bulgarian Feta thought;) LOL
|
What's wrong with the music or pronunciation of "feta", it's the way I say it. I usually use the French feta rather than the Bulgarian that I get at the Persian market.
