Mysterious fish caught during kayak fishing show

Buddy of mine just send me this...really cool video. All the fish that I think it could have been apparently don't exist down there so it's still a mystery.

Man over edited and over dramatized... I couldn't stand watching the entire video. I didn't hear any drag, set too hight?

WildernessWanker 04-30-2014 09:46 AM

Lots of editing, lots of drama, and I'm confused about his setup. Was he seriously fishing 3 rods at the same time?! Sat through the whole thing but didn't get anything out of it.

Looks like a turtle to me

MrM 04-30-2014 11:40 AM

I got about 30 seconds in...

CaliYaker 04-30-2014 11:58 AM

It looks like he is using a Garcia 5000, I don't think those have drag clickers....those are the stupid silent runners if I'm not mistaking.

Who is Jim Simmons?

Chuck D 04-30-2014 12:01 PM

One minute of my life, wasted...

addicted2sp33d 04-30-2014 12:07 PM

I tried to give this video a shot, listening to it in the background.

Couldn't do it. Even in the background it got annoying.

I believe you are right. I have a Garcia too and since it likes being silent I only use it to catch bait.

Tarpon, doubt that, in 2 feet of water no way. He would have been airborne. Jack not 6 foot long. Ray, probabally!!! What alse gets that big, inhabits 2 feet of water and trys to stay DEEP?

That music really confused me.... Was he fishing or destroying the Death Star???

If he really wanted to know what kind of fish he had on his line why didn't he just get off of his kayak and walk over to take a look at it???

So much for the saying "Everything is bigger in Texas" LOL

Enough time wasted..... :leaving:

Cbad Mike 05-01-2014 10:33 AM

Ahhhhhhhh... LMFAO!!!! That is freaking AWESOME!! SOOOOOO FUNNY!!
Way better than the fishing video!!!
:party::party::party:

CaliYaker 05-01-2014 12:20 PM

LOL Damn, this video actually had me on the edge of my seat. Music made it all the better!! Maybe I'm just going crazy here...haha

Your no doubt talking about the Rap Battle video. I was on the edge of my seat too.
I wasn't sure who would win. While I won't spoil the outcome. I have to say that out of the hundreds if not thousands of Rap Battles that I've seen, this one is the best by far and plus it looks like Eli isn't letting a little thing like his major brain injury get in the way of his stupid ass dream.

taggermike 05-01-2014 07:10 PM

I'm always down with seeing new fishing places and species, but that vid was kinda painful to watch. Why all the drama? You're fishing bro, relax and have some fun. They do have some big inshore fish in the gulf but muddy ass water, 2 feet deep, using cut bait, I'm thinking ray. Mike

I'm pretty sure he was just snagged on some structure and pulling against his own drag. Oldest trick in the book

dorado50 05-02-2014 12:14 AM

huffing paint can rap you out bro......nice fish though!
