My first Spearfishing video!
 

Took some time off the kayak this summer to do some offshore spear fishing. This sport is completely new to me, and I to it, howerever that didn't stop me from diving head first (lame pun) into it.
Let me know what you guys think :D

Very nice! I sure do miss doing that, my issue is getting out there nowadays as all my friends have sold their boats. Nothing like freediving blue water paddies...

-With all the stories i've heard this year of a guy knocking himself out with the gun, and another getting swept out from the kelp only to be found floundering-

I'd thought I just pass on the sport - but I did see where it had a real benefit offshore on paddys'. Many times in the early season the dodo were stuff with bait and wouldn't go.

The speargun was the hot ticket in those situations.

I thought I packed my face buzzer, but soon realized I forgot it. Fortunately, I never have a problem getting a seal even with a face full of stubble :p

Now that is Hi Def. The slo mo was sik. 2 go pros going it seems - great perspective. It kills me to not be able to see under water - I need to get off the yak deck and into the water.
