Exactly. Up at Leo Carrillo it was low tide and talk about dodging rocks all the way in and than the beach was all rocks, made it interesting landing even though the waves were less than a foot

hiramehunter 12-13-2012 12:09 PM

I wish I could go! I'd like to go next time!
Tight Lines! :reel:

jorluivil 12-13-2012 04:26 PM

save yourself $9

launch
Park on Stephen M White Drive just past the entrance
you'll see a dirt walkway that leads down to the beach

landing
if you have enough juice in you hull your kayak back up the dirt walkway
or
drop your kayak in one of the parking spots near the pay booth
grab your car
get in and out within 20minutes and its free

yakman619 12-13-2012 08:47 PM

Does anyone have an address as reference? I've only fished LJ, and am only semi-familiar with San Diego. I might head out that way, if I can figure out where it is.

TJones 12-13-2012 09:08 PM

You don't see him ? He flipped !:D

Iceman 12-14-2012 02:59 PM

Good fishing with you guys......but not good fishing! for me any way, nothing but dabs and lizard fish. Wind blew us out there and blew us off the water at noon.

danjor 12-14-2012 03:41 PM

Yea the fishing wasn't that great but...
I caught a big sand bass on my first drop before it even hit the bottom.
He's going to be dinner within the hour.
And I finally caught my first lizard fish after fishing on the yak for 6 years. Lol

StinkyMatt 12-14-2012 04:28 PM

Too bad it wasn't that good for you guys.:D

I guess we can go fish it this weekend , thanks for not cleaning it out.:)

wiredantz 12-14-2012 04:40 PM

I just got home, and my wife told what happened with the classroom full of children... so sad...

Thinking about it this was the first time that i did not have to paddle as much!

Note to self: don't pull a drift sock when its behind the rudder!

I have no idea how we are going to fix this one.
It was great fishing with you guys.

By the way that sand bass was delicious.
Any tips on how to cook a couple sand dabs besides just frying them for tomorrows lunch
