Lorance M68C

Im looking at a kayak that is equipped with a Lorance M68C.....does anyone have any feedback on this unit Thanks

YakMedic 05-01-2012 05:16 AM

I had one that I sold on of my kayaks. I have been kicking myself for letting that sounder go. For a compact color FF/GPS it is a great unit. However it all depends on how much extra the guy is selling the yak for due to the 68c.

Lowrance has since came out with better compact units (elite 4 series) but the M68c is a very good unit.

I hope that kayak has only been dropped in the water once or twice thats still kind of a high price!
I seen outback with a ton of stuff on them and they only went for $1800-$2000

Good Idea because I am the same way with my things!
Only time I don't bargin with something I guy is normally with people from BWE but people from CL most of them want to screw you as bad as they can

William Novotny 05-01-2012 07:21 AM

At that price I would buy a new pro angler and piece the rest out over time.

MWC359 05-01-2012 07:58 AM

I offered her my pro angler but she wants an outback instead......Im starting to lean towards buying her a new OB and passing on the loaded used one.....Shes not the type to use fish finder and she doesnt want a bait tank.......I could use them but they would be back up stuff.....I may just buy her a new one and upgrade the things she wants......

Fastlane is doing a Fishing Mission every Saturday with 20 new outbacks and will probably sell cheap at the end of May...

OEX is the best place to go for anything you need
I went to fast line just to look around before I knew who oex was
had the an experience like trying to get help in turners for fishing gear!
then went to oex before knowing about BWE and they waited on me with my million and one questions I had!
Fastlane is not a place to go or even talk about

Because I see quite a few of the regs on here support fastlane in thier sigline?

I never been mistreated by fastlane since 2003.( my first of the 6 Hobies I bought there)

But I bought my bait tank, camera stand. and all other stuff from OEX ,and never been mistreated either.

Both are good store.

What the fuck are you talking about!!!! I've never heard of anyone being mistreated at Fastlane. The owner is a real waterman--surfing, sailing, kayaking, paddleboarding you name it he does it. I buy plenty of stuff from both shops. I've found the people at OEX-Oceanside and MB-and Fastlane to be very helpful.
This is OEX's site and I wouldn't allow Fastlane to advertise on here, but I seriously doubt Rick would want them badmouthed either

seriola_killer 05-02-2012 07:03 PM

Honestly, I've been treated well by both places. Neither place had a bad word to say about the other.

roby 05-02-2012 07:10 PM

I got my yak from Fastlane so I had to chime in. Fastlane are good peeps....

Yakin 05-02-2012 07:18 PM

Alright damn just saying what I thought I saw.
All I was trying to do was stick up for OEX and I had my bad experience with fastline myself so its an opion
And know what opions are like asswholes
Everyone has one and some are better then others

William Novotny 05-03-2012 05:05 AM

Im not one to argue.........

Neither am I. I just like to say my mind as we all can see.
If I am right I am right but if I am wrong I admit to it

If it wasn't apparent I was being ironic and making a joke at my own expense regarding my previous debate on this site. too soon?
