The BWE Gang and the wind NPH May 1, 2011
I could tell you that we caught some yellow tail and some white seabass, but the truth was we just had a good time catching the small fish.
We we started out day at 6:20ish made bait and waited for the BWE gang to show up. George was really excited about his new purchase, and George pops out his boombox and starts singing to his music. http://i172.photobucket.com/albums/w...4/IMGP0133.jpg A waterproof Boom box and it floats too!!! That is next on my purchase list. http://i172.photobucket.com/albums/w...4/IMGP0132.jpg So after making bait Tim and Matt catch up with us. http://i172.photobucket.com/albums/w...4/IMGP0136.jpg I think Matt forgot to bring sunscreen http://i172.photobucket.com/albums/w...4/IMGP0134.jpg Then we head out of the bay with Rob, http://i172.photobucket.com/albums/w...4/IMGP0129.jpg Then we caught up with Darknachos. http://i172.photobucket.com/albums/w...nkkayaking.jpg So here a picture from far away as we get out of the harbor. http://i172.photobucket.com/albums/w...4/IMGP0128.jpg AND THEN WE CAUGHT THE BIG ONE SUPER MEGA WING GUST up to 25 mph. Fishing was slow and we caught the BIG WIND kept blowing us away from the honey hole. IT started howling so much we had to make a run for in back into the bay. I was the last one in and my arms still hurt. we caught some scuplin, calico , lizard fish. I even heard someone caught a legal halibut but Matt never showed it to me. GOod times :notworthy: |
Matt needs SPF 90

looks like a fun day:reel: A quick question, what is that black tube? a(rod holder)? on Matt's kayak and does it work? how is it made? it looks like the rod would slip out of it......H:sifone:

You catching small fish is better and cheaper than me losing money in vagas and more enjoyable hoping the night time poker games is better...

ok Rob,
no matter how close to the camera that sandie will not be any bigger for another few years:rolleyes: we had a pretty good day up in Refugio, rock fish and lingcod one legal but the whales were in rare form, coming within arms length to the yaks, for some pics, I have never been that close to them in a yak, didn't know whether to be scared (of being flipped) or excited to be so close, literally could have petted a juvinal while the adult was about 20 ft away, the juvinal whale swam under me, we had approx 15 ft visability turned on its side and looked me in the eye, very cool, probably a once in a life time deal, hopefully one of the guys I was with will send me some pics. Being flipped, I took care of that on my own on the landing, I had a big yard sale, didn't lose anything except my pride, beach full of people...:biggrinjester: |
looks like pretty good day otw to me :cheers1:
