Paul, I am sure you are right about your BD date, but I seem to remember reading a post by you that it was on the 28th??

Am I confusing your BD date with your dinner night?

Gr8fuldude 10-21-2016 09:00 PM

Hashem, my birth certificate says the 28th, but I celebrate it on the 29th. It's a long story..........

Youngest of five, parents split up shortly thereafter in a shitstorm of a divorce :boxing_smiley:. Noone could remember exactly when my bday was so they decided it was the 29th and called it good. Found out when we dusted off the birth certificate seventeen years later it was actually on the 28th! But the 29th was on all my other documents (driver's license, etc.), and it was part of my identity, so there you go!

Probably more than you wanted to know, but there it is :)

Mahigeer 10-22-2016 06:59 AM

I did not mean to pry.

Just wanted to know when to light a candle for you (don't tell anybody, it is to surprise you).

Yes restaurant should be open, they know I am bringing a good size group, and for FFM put down Gonzaga Bay.

Hey - can I crash the party for a few nights/days on my way South? Cut my last trip short and still diagnosing vehicle. Looking at leaving LA Tuesday or early Wed.

Sure Richard, you may have to sleep on the roof, or on the beach. Always room for one more, bring something to contribute to a dinner.

Thanks. Have the tent cot - outfitted for 2 weeks for self-contained trip. Was planning 3 weeks until blown tire, mechanic jacked up my alignment, and then lost pro-Angler fins on last trip.

Y'all, that was fast. Thanks Sven.

Tomorrow, tomorrow, it's BAJA!!! Rainy in San Diego, but beautiful in Gonzaga 90 degrees and 5 mph winds. Tight Lines.

MrPukaShell 10-23-2016 09:48 AM

Bob,

I see no one is signed for dinner on Sunday. Does that mean fish at the restaurant?

I usually bring a couple pounds of shrimp and others contribute fresh fish and it is taco's / burritos at the restaurant.

Mahigeer 10-23-2016 12:33 PM

Thanks Rossman for the offer.

We will figure it out somehow.

4Runner is packed full. Still have to load the kayak on the roof and prepare

Borek (Spanacopitas in Greek) to be fried at the restaurant.

Leaving in the evening to make a stop at Pala Casino, and then onward to the meeting point at the Shell gas station at 5:00 AM.

makobob 10-23-2016 01:17 PM

Sea y'all at Johnny's Shell.

Just got back. Lots of YT, Sierra, and Skipjack Tuna were being caught right in front of Alfonsinas. I caught a small rooster from shore as well as the usual suspects. If I could go back I would def hit Alfonsinas first. There were lots of boils there less than a mile out. Good luck guys!

Just got back from a couple days at Gonzaga and an overnight at Makobob's. Just a tease but the boys got into some monster Pez Gallo on Wednesday and landed 11 of them. World class roosters no matter how you look at it

Jefe Dos 10-30-2016 11:43 AM

Made it home Friday night in one piece or two... Outstanding trip and crew at Bob's place. Thanks again for the great adventure and please let me know how you link up to Photobucket to post photos. Jeff

NO, NO, TEASER

35+ roosters and 35+ yellows 1/2 pound to 10 pounds from our beach.

35+ ROOSTERS OVER 36 POUNDS UP TO OVER 70+ pounds.

In 68+ years I have never even dreamed so many LARGE ROOSTERFISH could school up like that. I never saw anything like it in Costa Rica, or East Cape or Panama, NEVER.

Has anyone ever heard of trophy fish like that????

The way that I do it; first load from my SD card (or camera) to Picasa3 website, then from there export it to my computer.

At the Photobucket website, I upload from my computer to Photobucket.

That provides me with an IMG code. I post the code in the message board, which turns it to a picture.

Others may do it easier, but that is the way I can do it.
