well the diabetic meter was under a limited warrenty cost me only $230..just got it today :)

That's Sunset Beach right? Shore fisherman have told me of 20lb halibut....I've caught a few keepers myself in the area just after the launch drift paddling south along the beach towards the point....it drops off to 12ft just off the beach hence the radical shore pound.....early August you can launch in ankle deep surf...drift south in swimming pool clear water and watch the halibut come out of the sand like ghosts chasing your bait.
