Ok, this thread is deteriorating. Being a police officer is thankless, I know my brothers are good men, and I could never do their job, NO WAY! Just like all professions, there are good, and bad individuals.
Let's get back to fishing... :reel::jig::wsb: |
The real problem is that any time they unload their ammo on someone who deserves it, they gotta worry about getting scrutinized for doing their job, admin review, 2 weeks desk duty...
I think they should have an 'Ooops' Clause... Somebody points a gun at them, brandishes a weapon in a threatening manner, a child molester, wife beater, etc., if their gun discharges and they say 'Ooops', it's all good. "Uh, your Honor, I did say 'Ooops' and my partner and some other witnesses heard me." "Is this true?" "Yes, your Honor, I did hear the officer in question say 'Ooops' " "Alrighty then...whoa, look at the time. Court adjourned." |

I didn't say they were all bad news, but the ones that are quickly destroy the confidence of the public and undermine the system of laws. I don't know about being an expert, but I am good at what I do. ------------------------ Chris I'm sure your brothers are good people. |
This has become a scary discussion. Some of you say you hate the cops. That is not a reasonable opinion. Yes some may make a mistake now and then and some may be less than professional at times. Most of the time, however, they do their jobs, (a difficult one by the way), with the best interests of the public in their hearts.
As Scallywag reported, once the Seargent showed up, he set these rookies striaght. The Seargent was probably embarrased that these guys did not know the local laws and I suspect that these officers got an earful back at the shop. I bet they will not make that mistake again. IMHO, Scallyway handled things the best way he could. The net result was no harm, no foul. Take a chill pill guys. Bob |
Scallywag, landing at 1030pm?? Who do you think you are, Josh Pruitt?!!!
|
You can definitely get a DUI on a bicycle...
|
I am with the cops on this one,,every one knows the yakkers at LJ carry bombs and weapons of mass destruction and they need to be stopped and searched regurely :cool:
Not to worry those these guys are busy booking people for walking on foot paths at the moment. |

Still can't believe they let her have a gun, much less give her bullets. Cops, Firefighters, Nurses, EMT's, and Teachers...underpaid. PS - No, I will not set you up with my sister...dumbass...sorry, old habit...:sifone: |
Both my brothers in laws are cops also...they are both dueches in my opinion...just saying...
|
Now I'm going to keep some donuts in my vehicle.....just in case

This thread has gone stupid quick, someone with power please shut it down. I am all for free speach, but all our websites are being watched by enviros, etc. We as kayak fishermen do not need to portray ourselves in this manner, esp when things can get taken out of context, and used against us. If you do not think it will be used against us, then you need to attend an MLPA meeting.
Scallywag, sorry for derailing your thread, I feel responsible for that. Everyone please stop responding to this thread. |
