revo 13 or outback.

If you really want to get faster and lighter go with the revo 13. If you want to just get lighter, get an outback. The PA has a surpisingly efficient hull design and a 14 is faster than an outback.

+1

I had a few buddies that I fished with back in AZ that floated on PA14's and those suckers were really quick for their size.

MY 14 moves just as fast in not faster than my Outback, I don't know why but it does.

All else being equal, a longer boat is faster. My 17' touring kayak easily out distances my 12' touring kayak.

Here is a cool article on why that is:

Im also considering the revo 16.

YakDout get your engineer buddy at Hobie to design a Revo 15. Just a little wider than the Revo 16 would be perfect speed/stable yak.

Since we're making requests for new features, I'd like to request Hobie to come up with an Outback or PA with a mini-MHD (MagnetoHydroDynamic) propulsion drive like the Red October... it'll be super quiet and able to go for miles! :D
