Massive head shakes and hard runs, but the new Saltist (which my GF got me for christmas) put the SMACK down and had him at gaff within about 3 minutes. After a sketchy swing-an-a-miss, he was on the clip and bleeding out. this is how you rope a donkey like a boss! Also had a grey whale swim right under my yak on the way in, and metered it on my sonar... so cool!

Nice video! I'm new to the forum! How do you upload YouTube vids On here?

chris138 02-27-2015 12:29 PM

Its easy... When you're watching the video, down below the title and channel there button that says "share". Click share then a bunch of little facebook and twitter icons pop up, above that there's a button that says "embed". When you click on that, a little HTML code line will pop up. Copy and paste that into your post and done!

Seriously, the first shot didn't even puncture the skin. He just had a little scratch. My gaff is sharp too... I dunno. If anything scallywag would sabotage me and grind the tip off it.

That being said, a flying gaff is not a bad idea, for when I rope an 80lb BFT this season on a rapala. you heard it here first.
