Stone is way overrated in my opinion. I can think of at least 50 microbreweries in San Diego that produce better tasting beer. Always been a fan of ballast point and my favorite is tongue buckler.

Hop therapy from rough draft is one of my all time favorite IPAs from a local brewery

I had a yellowtail ballast point ipa that day, but didn't take a pic. Joe gave me the stone. I have to say that stone seems to be the innovators of craft brew these days ( whether you love or hate them).

Ever try Green Flash? I really like their Barley Wine Ale! Perfect amount of hops and not too sweet, and 12%, need i say more!

Green flash is good, west coast IPA. The yellowtail you are referring to is not an IPA, it is just a pale ale. Not knocking stone for trying new things and putting out many different beers. Their beer just never did it for me.

Makes sense why it's hops were very mild. I'm sure we all agree that we're blessed with many great microbreweries out here!

I went to go visit one of my Electrical Engineering firms I work with and realized I passed 3 of them from the 805 to their office, which was only a few blocks!

That's a port beer I believe. Ya it's good stuff. You should be able to get a growler of that at pizza port in Carlsbad or solana beach

Hell yeah! I used to buy that by the pitcher back in 06-07 when I was stationed at Pendleton. We had going away, and retirement parties there all the time (Pizza Port). Ironically, they started bottling in Stones old facility once Stone upgraded to their current location. At least what I've been told

Total wine carries the Chronic beer in 4 or 6 packs of 16 oz cans I believe 👍 🍻

That's awesome! I think that's the first microbrew that I had in California.

:cheers
