you'll see alot more Yellows this summer on that Pro Angler Kevin. I have a feeling your gonna hang the Revo to dry for a long time. Once you go pro...you never come back.

I love the iron too, great catch. Did they hit yo yo or surface iron?

Ah yess, the elusive blue back yellowtail of 92037.:)
I'm going to start using lobster traps to catch my yellowtail - the sob's swim straight for them anyway. |

Next time the shot should be you holding both fish standing on your PA. And maybe you should invest in another game clip! ...against the MLPA and ASL |
For all of those who inquire about what jigs I use or prefer here is a helpful tip:
Sometimes I do not use one jig all day. In fact majority of the days I am out there the jig I through at any particular point in time is dictated by the conditions. For example I love the Tady C as far as consistency, but when the wind starts blowing throwing these "light" jigs is difficult. So at this point depending on how hard the wind blows I will bump up to a Tady 45 or if it's really blowing a Salas 7X. A 7X will not get pulled by the line which is being pulled by the wind and swell. So your presentation will be effectively be in the strike zone when the other jigs will fail. On the topic of color: It does not really matter to me as long as it is not to flashy. Chromes and fluorescent colors I stay away from. Not to say I haven't use such colors in the past, but it's a confidence issue with me. Blue and white, mint, scrambled egg, or any variation of these is a great choice. When it comes down to it though nothing beats a damn good swimming jig. Find one and use it then hide it from everyone one else. :biggrinjester: |
