Considering the 25" Greenback I caught yesterday (my personal best) and clean water, I would say you have a very good chance of an up close and personal experience with a Giant Mako or GWS.

Is that why you only fish from boats and not from kayaks recently

Serious Question. I'm not just asking this because I'm an OK guy and I noticed in the video that the other guy was in a Prowler.

Do the Hobies seem to get hit more by GWS than any other kayak because of the shape and the drive shaft?

I don't think they see to much in those waters, there is commotion up close and you know how it is, everything that moves is eatable.

I would put some cavitation fins on the outboard, motor sounds a bit rough...
if ya got some on, might think about adjusting height of the outboard, sounds like the motor is working a bit.

But what the phook do I know...threadjack!

I hope the reason whitey came up was the fins, I wouldn't be too worried about having my legs over the side. I think I'd be more worried about being able to cling to the top of the plastic...yikes.

Can't believe he got no teeth out of that one...

lol :) - That skiff is barely breathing. All you hear is the wind ripping past the cell phone.

It runs a legitimate 33 MPH on the GPS.
4 Stroke EFI Motor and gets better than 10 MPG.
