You guys and your popcorn are a riot. 50% of the reason the threads are long.

Dan's out there all the time he is just low profile.

And very approachable if you see him sleeping in his skiff at 2am :D

Thanks for the report, but please be courteous to the other fishermen out there and let them tell their own stories. Especially when they pay to enter a tournament and it may give other anglers an edge over her by knowing what and what size fish she caught... (probably not)... but it's her catch, her fish, her, story, and her call to post or not, if she so chooses. It has long been an unspoken rule here on BWE to let others post their stories as they see fit.

OK, sorry, rant off, and thanks for the report!:o

gotta be the worst reason to give a guy crap ever. He didn't use a name, just some female kayak girl that you assumed was whoever. You need to relax

courtesy not curtsey :p

Agreed - This used to be a site where information was exchanged freely. Now everyone thinks they are like the long range fleet and have to be in a code group. "Roger That":the_finger:

True dat! Last time I came up on him, I almost called the coastguard due to an abandoned livingston anchored in 95'

Splash a little water in there on sleeping beauty, he wakes right up

Finally I won the tug of war. The rather large mack did not fair so well. That courmornat tracked me for about 1/2 mile, staying 10 feet way, diving to within one foot of the mack suspended over the water as I peddled away. He left when I release the mack.

I can tell you after some first hand experience - after 4 Macs, they are full and will leave you alone.

FEMALE INTUITION beats the best fshfider! A feel for where the fish are | Peninsula Clarion

Sharon,

The real "crazy" thing is that I had just trolled thru that area only moments before!

I could not size her fish from where I was, but it looked smallish and she yelled out "it's about 10 lbs" amongst a lot of other yells!!

Kinda like golf--even seeing one of your playing partners hit a great shot kinda motivates you to keep trying!

sharonkayak 10-03-2011 07:18 PM

I wasnt yelling I was singing to the fish. thats the secret to keeping them on the hook..

Sounds strange - it doesn't flow well.

How about Female Fisherman ;)

I hate Spell check, I rely on it... as I cannot spell myself!

Sorry if my post offended some of you, that was not my intent, I was just attempting to say to some of the newer members of the boards that it is kind of rude to post others catches, with out their knowledge. It is also rude to troll in front of someones path, and rude to troll over their lines, and a number of other things that people need to learn etiquette about. They won't learn if no one helps to point out the right way; especially as there are more and more people out there. It should be our responsibility, as the more experienced kayak anglers, to help them learn these things, show them the ropes about more than what leader and hook size! it's called constructive criticism... that 's it, that's all, nothing more sinister, like giving someone crap, or secret codes, or open reporting ethics, or whatever conspiracy you can come up with. You guys are correct it could have been anyone, (including Dan ;)), and I did not state that it was anyone in particular, (read it and I think you will see that I drew no inferences as to who it may or may not have been) only that who ever it was, should have the ability to report their own fish, their own story, plain and simple. If we all reported every fish we personally saw landed it would be a mess to say the least... Did you ever wonder why the web cam is pointed off to one side a bit? Maybe so that those that wanted anonymity could get it? I don't see most of the old timers landing on the north side with their prizes... I wonder why? We need to respect each other, what ever your posting belief is... if ya want to post, then post, if ya don't, then don't, but give other angler's the room to practice their own belief, and post their own reports if they choose to!
This horse has been beaten for so long, and so many threads over the years, it is not worthy of popcorn anymore, even out of a bed pan! Shit, pass the beer, or even the vodka.

Again, Kailolo, thanks for the report! If I sounded to harsh then I apologize, but I stand by what I said, it is just a matter of courtesy, (not curtsey). and I am sorry for the brutal:viking: viral thread jacking, it was not my intention either.
Cheers, :cheers1:
